Fall

By: Keegan, Mrs. Reid's 3rd Grade Class

There are four seasons in a year. I am going to tell you about the fall season. There is colder weather, many holidays and festivals, as well as different kinds of foods and drinks.
In fall there are a lot of festivals. Here are some of them. There are church festivals and school festivals around Halloween time.  The Mullet Festival is also in the fall. We trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat to celebrate Halloween. There are many hayrides to go on. We wear costumes. Those are some of the fall festivals.
Weather in October starts to get cold. You should wear warm clothes. The leaves start to fall and grass starts to die. I like to rake leaves into a pile and them jump into them. In October a lot of animals start to hibernate because it gets cold. People also stop hunting and kids stopping playing outside as much. It gets so cold it can frost in October.
In fall there are a lot of holidays. Some are in the beginning of the season like Veterans Day and the Lunar Eclipse. Other holidays are in the middle like Columbus Day and Halloween. There is also the holiday of Thanksgiving. There are many holidays in the fall.
In fall there are a lot of foods and drinks that people have. They can be different from other seasons. Here are some of the foods and drinks. There is turkey, pumpkin pie, candy and others. Some eat ham and apple pie. All of those things together can make a feast.  Now you know some more about fall.
