An Octopus Ate My Ice Cream

By: Nathan, Mrs. Grant's 5th Grade Class

An octopus ate my ice cream, every single bite;
the octopus ate my ice cream, but I didn't put up a fight!
That octopus ate my ice cream,
I saw it with my eyes;
an octopus ate my ice cream,
boy, was that a surprise!
He ate it all in one big chomp
with my shiny spoons;
at least he didn't eat my pie and cake--
oops, I spoke too soon.
